What Tango can't do (yet)

A plain list of Tango's current limits, with workarounds where they exist.

Here's what Tango doesn't do today, so you don't have to hunt for it.

Capturing

Desktop-captured workflows

  • Guide Me doesn't run on them.

  • Live Blur isn't available in the Desktop app.

  • Voice Transcription works with browser capture only.

  • The AI Agent automates web apps only, not desktop software.

Editing

  • Rich text formatting in step text: no font, size, color, bold or italic. (only in step descriptions and workflow descriptions)

  • Custom callout styling: you can't change callout shape, line width, opacity or fill, or the click indicator's width, color or shape.

  • Merging steps by hand after capture. Combined Steps groups actions automatically at capture time; you can't fold two steps together afterwards.

  • Undoing a saved blur. Saving a blurred screenshot is permanent. See How do I protect PII and confidential information?

  • Copying a step from one workflow into another.

  • Merging two workflows into one.

  • Attaching your own video file to a workflow. Video Embed turns a workflow into a video, but you can't upload your own mp4 file. You can upload GIFs in place of screenshots on any Workflow step.

Sharing and exporting

  • Editing translated text directly. Edit the original workflow, then apply the translation again. Guide Me, Automations and Video Embeds aren't translated. See How do Workflow Translations work?

Guide Me

  • Phones and tablets. Guide Me needs the Tango extension, so it doesn't run on mobile. Shared workflows still open in a mobile browser.

  • Unlimited Guide Me for Guests. Guests get 3 Guide Me sessions per Workspace. See What is a Guest?
