When translations are enabled, viewers can switch between the original (source) language and a translated version of the workflow. This makes it easier to share documentation with global teams, customers, or partners while maintaining a single source of truth.
Translations are generated automatically and are clearly labeled as AI-generated.
What gets translated?
Workflow Translations applies to the content within How-To Guides (static workflows), including:
Workflow title
Workflow description
Step titles
Step descriptions
Callouts
Workflow Translations are not available for:
Automations
Guide Me (interactive walkthroughs)
The surrounding Tango product UI (menus, buttons, navigation) remains in the English and is not translated as part of the workflow.
Translated workflows can be viewed in the Tango app, via shared links, and in embedded workflows.
Who can use Workflow Translations?
Workflow Translations are available for Enterprise workspaces only.
The feature is off by default
A workspace admin must enable it in workspace settings
Admins can turn the feature on or off at any time
Once enabled, translations are available on eligible workflows created in that workspace
When turned off, workflows will display only their original language
If you don’t see the option to translate a workflow, it likely means the feature hasn’t been enabled for your workspace yet.

Accuracy and expectations
Workflow Translations are powered by AI, which means:
Translations are generated automatically
They may not be perfect in every case
Technical or domain-specific terms may vary slightly by language
For clarity and transparency, translated workflows are always distinguishable from the original source version.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit the translated text directly?
Not at this time. Translations are generated automatically and reflect the original workflow content. Creators can always edit the original workflow text.
Does translating a workflow create a duplicate?
No. Translations are alternate views of the same workflow, not separate copies.
Is translation available for exported workflows (PDF, HTML, etc.)?
Yes. When you export a workflow (PDF, HTML, or Markdown), the exported file will reflect the language currently selected in the workflow.
