Tango Desktop is only available on paid plans (Pro and Enterprise). See plans here.
The current version is Tango Desktop 2.0, released September 2026. It runs on:
Mac: macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon and Intel.
Windows: Windows 10 version 2004 or later, and Windows 11, on x64 and ARM64.
You can also find the download under Get Desktop app in your profile menu in the web app.
Mac: open the downloaded file and drag Tango to Applications. On first launch, grant the Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions it asks for. See What permissions will I need to enable?
Windows: the installer is an MSIX package. It installs for your user account only and doesn't need administrator rights. If you had a 1.x version installed, 2.0 removes it for you.
After installing, Tango Desktop lives in your menu bar (Mac) or system tray (Windows); it doesn't open a main window. Click the Tango icon to sign in and start a capture. The app keeps itself up to date: when a new version is ready you'll see an Update button, and clicking it restarts Tango on the new version.
Having trouble? See Troubleshooting the Tango Desktop app.
Please note: Guide Me is not available for workflows created with Tango's Desktop app.
