What tracking or analytics does Tango do on my screen? Can I opt out?

Tango only captures your screen during active Capture and Guide Me sessions. Here's what we collect and what you can opt out of.

Tango only captures your screen when you ask it to. The extension and desktop app take screenshots and read page details (like which button you clicked) only while you're actively capturing a workflow or following a Guide Me walkthrough. When you pause or stop, capture stops. Nothing is recorded in the background.

We use that page data to build your guide: the screenshot, the zoomed-in action area, the written step, and, in Guide Me, whether you clicked the right thing. On Pro and Enterprise plans you can also blur sensitive information during or after capture (see How to use Secure Blur).

Product analytics. Like most software, we measure how Tango is used (for example, which features get used and where people get stuck editing a workflow) so we can run and improve the service. We look at this data in aggregate.

Cookies on tango.ai. Our website asks for your consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies. You can accept or decline them in the cookie banner. California residents can also use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the website footer, under Trust and Legal.
