How do I set a Rule?

Why rules rule!

This feature is available on an Enterprise (Automation) plan.

Help your users receive instant feedback on invalid inputs to help them avoid mistakes. To do this in Tango, you simply have to create a rule to define what the user must enter or select during a step.

Your rules can also reference Smart Values, for example "If Type is new customer the amount in this field must be a numerical amount over 500."

Why are rules so important?

Rules prevent your end users from entering information that goes against your custom business rules.

Rules can only be created on Manual steps. Make sure your step is set to Manual by toggling it here:

Before you hit save, be sure to test your rule by using "Check rule". This allows you to preview if an answer passes or fails your rule.

If there's an issue with your rule, we'll provide a suggestion. Click on "Use suggestion" to use our recommended input.
