How do I connect Tango to my AI assistant?

From the Tango App, In Tango, go to Settings and select Connect an AI assistant, under This Workspace.

ℹ️ Tango MCP is available on Enterprise Workspaces. You need your own Tango account and must be a member of the Workspace. Workspace Guests can’t connect to Tango MCP.

Start in the Tango web app to find the connection steps for each supported AI assistant:

  1. In Tango, go to Settings and select Connect an AI assistant, under This Workspace.

  2. Click Connect on your assistant's card, or Connect to any other assistant.

  3. Tango opens the appropriate connector, plugin or agent flow for your assistant in the browser. Complete the steps shown there, then sign in to Tango and authorize the connection.

Every assistant ends with the same Tango sign-in page:

  • Sign in to Tango, choose the Workspace under Select Workspace, and click Authorize.

  • If your Workspace can't be selected, it isn't an Enterprise Workspace or you're a Guest there. Ask a Workspace admin or your customer success representative for help.

  • After authorizing your Enterprise Workspace, return to the AI assistant to complete the connection.

  • To test the connection, ask your assistant: "What Tango workspace am I connected to?"

ChatGPT

  3. Connect the plugin, then sign in to Tango and authorize the connection when prompted.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Tango is an agent in Agent Store in Microsoft 365 Copilot. Each user needs a Microsoft 365 Copilot license.

  1. In the Tango web app, click Connect on the Microsoft 365 Copilot card.

  2. Tango opens the Tango agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot’s Agent Store in your browser. Install the agent if needed, then open it in Microsoft 365 Copilot.

  3. Click Sign in to Tango, then authorize the connection.

If you can't install the Tango agent because of your organization's Microsoft 365 Copilot policies, contact your Microsoft 365 admin.

Claude

  1. In the Tango web app, click Connect on the Claude card.

  2. Tango opens Claude in your browser with the Tango custom connector details filled in. If you have access to add custom connectors, you will be able to click Add.

  3. Click Connect, then sign in to Tango and authorize the connection.

Note: On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner or Primary Owner must enable custom connectors for the organization before members can use them. Each person then signs in to Tango individually. If you can't add Tango, ask an Owner or Primary Owner to enable custom connectors or allow connector requests.

Any other assistant

  1. In the Tango web app, click Connect to any other assistant.

  2. Copy the connection details Tango shows.

  3. In your assistant's web app, add a remote MCP server.
