ℹ️ Tango MCP is available on Enterprise Workspaces. You need your own Tango account and must be a member of the Workspace. Workspace Guests can’t connect to Tango MCP.
Tango MCP connects your AI assistant to the step-by-steps your team already keeps in Tango. Ask a how-to question in chat and your assistant will search for the most relevant Tango, with a link to the source.
It uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for connecting AI tools to outside data.
What can I do with it?
Ask in plain language, the way you would ask a colleague. You don't need to know the Tango's title.
What you can do | Example prompt |
Find the Tango for a task | "How do I submit an expense?" |
Pick from similar Tangos | "Show me our onboarding process." |
See every step of a Tango | "Walk me through every step of requesting time off in Rippling." |
Ask about one step and see its screenshot | "What does step 4 of the expense guide look like?" |
Browse your Team Library by folder or app | "What Tangos do we have for Salesforce?" |
Find Tangos by author | "List the Tangos I've published to the Team Library." |
Check which workspace you're connected to | "What Tango workspace am I connected to?" |
Tango returns one workflow when there's a clear match, or up to three when several could apply, or no result when nothing fits. Tango returns information from existing Tangos and links to the source guide. If nothing comes back, ask a Creator in your Workspace to document the process.
Your assistant writes the final reply, so check it against the linked Tango before relying on it for important tasks.
